I guess the title of this post can speak by itself, right? I think the whole thing is easy to understand: you are sad, and the main consequence is that you
want to go shopping.
a. why I was sad? well, lately I received bad news regarding the future of my career. I've been preparing to pass professional exams for many time now, and recently the Government decided that there's no going to be exams this year and probably neither next year... and this made my motivation to fell into pieces!
b. what happens when I want to buy when I'm depressed (and here you maybe you find out that the title actually made sense!!!)? well, I usually want to buy a lot... I have the need of spending money on whatever! but, in these cases I usually find nothing to take home because shopping in the blues, you know, when you're not in the shopping-mood, aint easy.
c. this time was different. I left my mentor's place so sad-angry that I was really determinate to buy anything. it didn't go well at the beginning because I was looking for shoes and I didn't find the perfect pair, but as the time went by the thing got better.
d. the best buy that day? this linen t-shirt from Zara with a good message on it: 'Do it for yourself'. I'm not the kind of person that always wear message tees, actually this one is the first I buy in a long while, but this one got a message that seemed to be aimed at me. and that's all; I got the message and I took the tee at home with me. it was like a divine illumination... hehe!
e. if you want some advice, maybe now is too late, but tomorrow morning (or whenever you can) go out and do something for yourself; no matter what, you can go shopping, or eat a delicious ice-cream or whatever you want in that concrete moment. and that little something maybe will cheer up your mood, because sometimes to do something for oneself is way much better that the best therapist!
f. thank you so so much for reading, and for your comments, and for everything! I'll be back again soon (but don't know when yet!)
